What:
Safe Rides provides free, confidential safe rides home to
stranded youth or youth that have an emergency. 
Who:
Bellevue youth are encouraged to both use and volunteer. Adult
volunteers are also needed in order for this program to run.
When:
Safe Rides operates on Friday nights from 9:30 p.m. until
12:30 a.m.

How Does Saferides Work?
Youth who are stranded or have an emergency call the Safe
Rides hotline: 1-866-688-LIFT
Friday night between 9:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. A youth
dispatcher takes the caller’s location and
description.
A volunteer adult driver and youth navigator pick up the youth
caller and take them to their home. Only youth that are
residents of Bellevue are eligible for rides and they can only
be transported to their own residence. The rides are free and
confidential. Adult and youth volunteers are asked to commit
to volunteering one Friday per month.
